Stem cells may be possible future treatment.

2003 MAY 1 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- One approach for future treatment of acute lung injury (ALI) and its most severe form, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), could involve stem cells to replace dying lung cells, according to a summary report from a panel of experts looking at future research directions in acute lung injury.
